BIAL to undergo runway maintenance

Bangalore International Airport will undergo maintenance work at the existing runway. The airport’s operator, BIAL said the airport will be closed for seven hours every day between 1030 and 1750 from 11 March to 3 April during which no emergency landings will be permitted at the airport. BIAL sources told the Express that the NOTAM (Notices to Air Men) were issued in accordance with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation guidelines. It added that the maintenance work will have minimal impact on airport operations.
