bmi regional has launched an amended baggage and seating policy, which aims to make travelling with the airline simpler.
All customers flying with bmi regional will continue to receive a standard free baggage allowance and this has now been increased to a generous 23kgs at no extra cost. They will also have the option to pre-book their preferred seat via the customer contact centre or online up to 48 hours in advance for a fee of £8 for a standard seat or £15 for an exit row seat.
Additionally, bmi regional is making it easier for customers to take extra luggage, introducing an online option to pre-book additional luggage and sporting equipment. Extra bags of up to 23kg can now be pre-booked online for £40 each way, whilst sporting equipment can be pre-booked online for £45 each way.
Extra luggage can be added via the ‘Manage My Booking’ section of the website up to four hours in advance of travel.
Additional bags can also be booked via the contact centre for a set fee or at airports for £80 each way, and sports equipment for £45 each way. Any excess baggage will be taken at airports only and remain at £10 per excess kilo.
Jochen Schnadt, chief commercial officer of bmi regional, commented: “These changes are all part of our strategy to enhance and simplify our product offering. With our focus on quality and convenience of service and carefully listening to our customers, we believe that our new baggage and seating policy will give customers greater flexibility, greater choice and make travelling with us even easier.”
