Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) has seen a drop in sales and transactions with its specialist areas proving to keep business stable.
The TMC saw sales volumes drop 1.1% to USD27.7 billion (GBP17.8bn) in 2012 compared to 2011, while transactions only decreased 0.2% to 61.7m.
Its operations in Latin America and Asia Pacific bolstered its performance alongside its Energy Services, Solutions Group and Meetings & Events areas.
In the UK, sales volume dropped 1.9% to GBP1.17bn year-on-year although Meetings & Events was up 21%.
“We are very pleased with our performance over the last year. As a global company with local operations all over the world, our diverse client portfolio has provided stability despite a fluctuating economic climate,” said Douglas Anderson, president and CEO of CWT.
Its 2013 plans will expand on its mobile and online services.
