Travel companies have seen a rise in trips to Paris booked up in recent sales figures.
Tour operator Superbreak has seen the French capital rise four places to fourth in its top-selling short-break destinations, while dealchecker.co.uk told us on Tuesday the city had been a popular search on its site (see TDUK 24/01/12).
However, Graham Balmforth, national sales manager at Superbreak said its new Eurostar booking platform for travel agents had helped boost sales at the tour operator.
Its other top selling short breaks last year were dominated by the UK with London, Edinburgh and York as the top three, followed by Manchester in fifth, Lake District at seventh and Blackpool at tenth. Gatwick and Heathrow were in eight and ninth, with Amsterdam as the only other international city at sixth.
