Bourne Leisure launches apprenticeship with fully-funded degree and guaranteed career

UK-based holiday provider, Bourne Leisure, has announced a new initiative that offers industry professionals a fully-funded degree course including a salaried role and a guaranteed career upon completion.

Bourne Leisure, a company that operates more than 40 resorts and parks across the UK and employs more than 16,000 team members, announced its latest initiative that’s designed to develop future leaders in the industry.

The Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship offers a fully-funded three-year BA in Management Practice degree course, a salaried role while the course is being taken, and a guaranteed career with the company after graduation. The scheme enables qualified applicants to gain real-time experience and earn money doing so while studying for a degree at The Open University without the pressure of knowing they are building up debts.

Sarah Dickins, Bourne Leisure’s director of people, commented on the new initiative: “We want to offer amazing career opportunities. Our new programme offers talented individuals the opportunity to join the Bourne Leisure Degree Apprenticeship in a real job with a structured development programme and career options across each of our brands. If you are looking to work hard and give our guests a great time, then we’ll give you the opportunity of a lifetime.”

The three-year course will allow those working on the new apprenticeship scheme to spend time as part of the team at the company’s Butlin’s, Haven Holidays and Warner Leisure Hotels brands. While the candidates must study during their own time, they will be given the equivalent of two days off each month for studying.

In return, the company is seeking candidates who see themselves with leadership potential and are willing to relocate within the UK. Applicants must have two A-levels, a level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent, but not be the holder of a current management degree.
