Cruise and Maritime Voyages (CMV) has four cruise ships sailing this Easter. Recent data shows that last year some 1.9 million Brit’s went cruisng – an all time record. CMV Britain’s leading independent cruise line has already booked more than 75,000 people on a cruise holiday for this year.
Mike Hall, head of marketing at CMV said “It is not just the roads, airports and train stations that will be busy this holiday period. We have four ships in different parts of the world at the moment. Magellan is on her way from The Maldives heading towards the Suez Canal, Astor is returning to the UK from South Africa, Marco Polo is on the way back from Madeira to Bristol.
“Meanwhile Astoria is cruising in the Norwegian fjords and will set off once more from London Tilbury on Tuesday on a similar cruise.”
Sterling on board CMV ships plus the value of what is included are key factors that are attracting an increasing number of Brit’s to take to the seas. Some deals are still available this Spring. A five night cruise on Magellan from London Tilbury departing 28 May with some of the former ‘Carry On’ film stars on board sails to Medieval Cities in Europe and the River Seine.
