Cachet Hotel Group (CHG) and its joint venture partner Drai’s Enterprises have unveiled plans for their first Asian nightlife venue.
Opening in December 2015, the Drai’s Noir club will be located at the Cachet Boutique Hotel in Shanghai. Spanning nearly 1,000m2, the venue will include an “ultra lounge”, a VIP room and a main room with views of Nanjing Road.
Drai’s is the Las Vegas-based club operator founded by nightlife mogul Victor Drai, and the new Shanghai venue has been designed by Drai himself.
“Shanghai was a natural selection for our first foray into China,” said Michael Gruber, president and partner at Drai’s. “It’s such a vibrant and cosmopolitan city; we think it’s the perfect spot to launch what will be a string of venues in China that will set a new standard for high end nightlife in Asia.”
The Cachet-Drai’s partnership is planning to develop a chain of nightlife venues across Asia, either as stand-alone venue or within hotels. The venture is targeting clubs in five new cities per year.
