Hong Kong‘s Cachet Hotel Group (CHG), which operates the Cachet, rHotels and URBN brands, has launched a new office in Bangkok to drive its expansion in Southeast Asia.
The new facility will oversee the company’s regional development, including the planned launch of new hotels, resorts and mixed-use developments. It will also house the company’s Global Design Center.
Heading up the Bangkok office will be Aaron Griffiths, CHG’s new president of Southeast Asia, and Liming Rao, the company’s new managing director of design. Both have extensive industry experience, with Griffiths having spent 15 years with Mandarin Oriental and Rao working with companies including Banyan Tree, Hyatt and Jumeirah.
CHG currently operates the eco-friendly URBN Shanghai and Cachet Boutique Shanghai, which was recently rebranded from the JIA Shanghai. It is also planning to launch its Cachet and URBN brands in Chengdu and Kunming respectively.
