Cairns has been named as the host destination for Tourism Australia’s mega fam Corroboree Europe.
The tourism board is working with Qantas, Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ) and Tourism Queensland to host the trip between 15 and 26 May 2013, which will include 300 UK and European agents from its Aussie Specialist Program.
Agents will have the chance to attend one of 22 fams across Australia with face-to-face meetings, workshops and product updates throughout.
“I would like to encourage agents to sign up to our Aussie Specialist Program if they haven’t already done so, as there is plenty of time to complete the training modules required to qualify to attend Corroboree,” said Rodney Harrex, regional general manager UK and Northern Europe for Tourism Australia.
The announcement comes as the tourism board launched the next phase of its ‘There’s nothing like Australia’ campaign earlier this week.
