Cambodia Air adds service to Danang
Cambodia Angkor Air will start a new service from 27 October linking Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh with Danang in central Vietnam. Danang is the closest airport to the ancient port town of Hoi An in central Vietnam designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. The city is also famous for its beach resorts and golf courses.
At the same time, the national airline of Cambodia will increase seating capacity on its daily Siem Reap to Danang service by upgrading to an A321 with 150 seats instead of the smaller 70-seat ATR72.
The airline’s current lowest deal on this route is USD 89 one-way. The new Phnom Penh – Danang route will be served with a five weekly service using an ATR72. Flight are scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Around 900,000 Vietnamese visited Cambodia last year with air travellers using the gateways Phnom Penh and Siem Reap and estimated at around 15% of total trips.
