Thailand’s Cape & Kantary Hotels will open a new island resort in Thailand next month, called Somewhere Koh Sichang.
Located on the island of Koh Sichang in Chonburi province, a short drive from Bangkok, the new hotel will offer just 20 rooms, all of which feature private balconies, LED TVs, DVD players and free Wi-Fi. Facilities include a swimming pool, restaurant, bar and a conference room able to accommodate up to 40 people.
The hotel is expected to open in May 2016.
“I am confident in Somewhere Koh Sichang because Koh Sichang is different from other islands as it is unique and lovely,” said Poomiphat Navanukroh, Cape & Kantary’s travel industry group director. “In this instance, we do not use brand name Cape, Kantary and Kameo, as we have done before, because we want to position this hotel as a special and lovely hotel, with its own character and location.
“Staying at this hotel and experiencing life on this island, guests will be enchanted and, in their minds, be transported to a paradise in the countryside. So we decided to call this hotel ‘Somewhere’. Moreover, Koh Sichang is not far from Bangkok.”
Koh Sichang is a 45-minute boat ride from Koh Loy Pier, which is only 100km from Bangkok.
Cape & Kantary Hotels now owns 18 hotels in Thailand, including locations in Bangkok, Hua Hin, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Ayutthaya and Khao Lak.
