Carlson Rezidor gets GDS boost
Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has completed the installation of a new advanced interface between its central reservations system (CRS) and Travelport’s global distribution systems (GDS).
The hotel company has selected Travelport’s Hotel XML Supplier Link technology, which allows it to send rates, inventory and information for its portfolio of 1,000+ hotels directly to Travelport’s Worldspan, Galileo and Apollo GDS platforms. The new interface, which eliminates the need to operate via a third party, will now provide rates, inventory and content directly to travel agencies in more than 170 countries.
It also includes Travelport’s Complete Pricing functionality which aims to reduce pricing discrepancies for travellers at hotel check-in.
“Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group is committed to deploying technologies… which deliver substantial benefits to our organisation and properties, as well as our travel agency partners and end-consumers,” said Frederic Deschamps, the hotel group’s Senior Vice President of Revenue Optimization & Distribution. “We are extremely pleased with the performance and reliability of the technology.”
“The technology is more efficient and cost-effective in reducing hotel distribution costs, requiring only a single connection to each of our GDS platforms,” added Niklas Andréen, Travelport’s Group Vice President of Global Hospitality & Partner Marketing.
