Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s Indian expansion continues to gather pace, with 140 hotels now operational or in the pipeline across the country.
Outlining its development efforts at the recent Hotel Investment Forum India (HIFI), the group revealed that it now has a presence in 60 Indian cities, including 16 state capitals. Carlson Rezidor previous stated its aim to have a hotel in the capital of all 29 states.
A further 14 properties are due to be signed and eight opened by the end of 2016.

“As one of the leading international hospitality operators in India, we have established a nationwide presence through a deep understanding of this key market. We remain fully committed and believe in accelerating our growth through new strategic partnerships and opportunities.”
Carlson Rezidor’s Indian portfolio has grown on average 17% per year since 2010 and the company says it is on track to achieve its target of 170 hotels in the country by 2020.
