Cathay signs US interline agreement
Cathay Pacific has signed a new interline agreement with New York-based JetBlue Airways.
Through the deal, which comes into effect later this summer, the two carriers will offer single-ticket travel and baggage check-in for travellers transferring between the airlines’ flights at New York’s JFK airport and Los Angeles International Airport.
Cathay currently operates four daily flights between JFK and Hong Kong, as well as three daily services to and from LAX. US-bound travellers will now be able to transfer to JetBlue’s domestic services to destinations including Boston, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Puerto Rico, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando.
“JetBlue and Cathay Pacific share a similar philosophy of giving travellers an experience to remember,” said Scott Resnick, JetBlue’s director of airline partnerships. “We are proud to partner with an airline of Cathay Pacific’s calibre to give our customers new options for travel throughout Asia.”
