Cebu Pacific spreads wings to Saudi Arabia

Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) has taken another step forward in its long-haul expansion plans, with the launch of its first ever flights to Saudi Arabia.
The Philippine low-cost carrier commenced its inaugural service to the country’s capital Riyadh on 1 October 2014, and swiftly followed it up with the start of flights to the port city of Dammam.
These new routes follow the launch of CEB’s services to Kuwait and Sydney last month.
The Manila-Riyadh route will operate three times a week, every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, while the Manila-Dammam service will run every Monday, Thursday and Saturday. All the new Saudi flights will be operated using CEB’s new long-range Airbus A330-300 aircraft, which comes fitted with a high-density, all-economy class layout with 436 seats.
The flights are mainly targeted at the large number of overseas Filipino workers in the Middle East.
“Cebu Pacific will keep flying to where the Filipinos are. As we expand our operations in the Middle East, we are proud to offer even more Filipinos in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia the fastest, most affordable way to come home,” said CEB’s general manager for long-haul, Alex Reyes.
CEB now flies to four destinations in the Middle East – Dubai, Kuwait, Riyadh and Dammam.
