Cebu Pacific Air will deploy its latest Airbus A330-300 aircraft on the Manila-Hong Kong route next month.
From 16 September to 4 October 2013, the Philippine low-cost carrier will use the new 436-seat twin-aisle aircraft on one of its daily services to Hong Kong, in place of the 180-seat, single-aisle A320 that currently operates the route. The move will follow the scheduled delivery of CEB’s second A330 at the start of September.
The currently airline operates 44 weekly flights to Hong Kong from four Philippine cities – Manila, Clark, Cebu and Iloilo. The Manila service operates four times a day.
“There is a great degree of interest in travel to Hong Kong, and we at Cebu Pacific want to continuously stimulate this demand with our trademark lowest fares, and more flights and routes,” said CEB’s vice president of marketing & distribution, Candice Iyog.
“To date, we offer guests the most number of routes to Hong Kong, providing many travellers from all over the Philippines fast and convenient access to this popular international destination,” she added.
CEB took delivery of its first A330 in June, and has deployed it on routes to Seoul and Singapore, ahead of the launch of long-haul services to Dubai in October 2013. In total, the airline intends to operate six A330s by 2015, all configured in an all-economy class layout.
