Cebu Pacific Air experienced a strong rise in passenger traffic last year, driven by its expanding fleet and route network.
The Philippine low-cost airline carried 16.9 million passengers in 2014, 17.5% more than the 14.4m it handled in 2013.
Last year, CEB took delivery of five new aircraft, expanding its fleet size to 53. This enabled the airline to launch several new flights including its first ever services to Australia.
It also added three new Middle Eastern routes to Kuwait, Riyadh and Dammam and expanded its operations in Japan with the launch of daily services from Manila to Tokyo and four weekly flights to Nagoya.
CEB also boosted its domestic network last year, as its newly-acquired subsidiary, Tigerair Philippines, launched eight domestic routes from its hubs in Manila and Cebu.
Already this year CEB has taken delivery of two new Airbus A320 aircraft and will launch new flights from Cebu to Tokyo next month.
