Centara Hotels & Resorts has created an agent and operator sales support team to help with enquiries. The new team will act as an information and advice line for sales staff in the UK and will work separately from the booking line. “This is designed as a one-stop-shop, so our industry partners can get the answers to their questions on doing business with us other than through the actual booking process,” said Chris Bailey, SVP for sales and marketing at Centara. “In this way our sales force is freed up to focus on business development, while our partners have a single point of contact regardless of the property they are referring to”. In addition, Centara has expanded its sales and marketing team in Thailand to take on new demand. The team now consists of around 120 people to work across the company’s five brands and help with more ‘complex’ enquiries. “We have now completed the restructuring to take our communication and activities to the next level, focused on continuing to support the wider travel industry,” said Bailey.
