The new Centara Muscat Hotel will be operated under a management contract and is scheduled to open on 1 June 2015.
Thirayuth Chirathivat, chief executive officer of Centara Hotels & Resorts: “Oman becomes our tenth overseas destination and we deeply appreciate the trust that international investors are placing in our unique Thai style of hotel management.”
Centara’s overseas expansion either open or under development in Oman, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, Laos, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Ethiopia and Qatar.
Chris Bailey, senior vice president for sales and marketing at Centara Hotels & Resorts said: “Our guest mix will be both leisure and business, and the hotel facilities will reflect this.”
The hotel will showcase 154 guestrooms, with two food and beverage outlets, a swimming pool, a spa and a fitness centre. The hotel will also include extensive meeting facilities.
