Centara Hotels & Resorts has opened its first sales office in Indonesia.
The new Jakarta office follows the Thai hotelier’s recent expansion in Indonesia, where it now operates two properties – Centra Taum Seminyak Bali and Centara Grand Nusa Dua Resort & Villas.
The company said the office was part of its strategy to expand in the ASEAN region, prior to the onset of the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015.
“Our new Jakarta office will allow us to become closer to the Indonesian travel industry and consumers,” said Chris Bailey, Centara’s senior vice president for sales and marketing. “This is important for our growth plans, as we expand our number of properties and destinations that are of interest to Indonesian travellers.
The new Jakarta office will be headed-up by Maria Lastfi Erma, Centara’s new Director of Sales for Indonesia.
