Centara to launch mid-range brand in Bali
Centara Hotels & Resorts will roll-out its Centra brand in Bali later this year, marking the international debut of the mid-range hotel brand. Opening in November 2011, the Centra Taum Resort Bali will be located in the Seminyak area of the island. The US$20 million hotel, which is currently under construction, will be operated by Centara under a management contract.
“We are delighted to be opening our first overseas Centra hotel in Bali,” said Gerd Steeb, President of Centara Hotels & Resorts. “This represents strategic growth for the brand, and we feel Bali has enormous potential for Centra.”
Chris Bailey, Centara’s Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, added that the new hotel would complement the Centara Grand Nusa Dua Resort & Villas, which is due to open in Bali in December this year.
“This gives guests the option of our five-star Grand brand and our Centra value brand,” Bailey said. “In marketing terms it is a very strong strategy, and for our guests it provides two very distinct and attractive choices, within a wide price band, and both in prime locations.”
Centra Taum Resort Bali will have a total of 90 rooms, including 37 two- and three-bedroom units. All rooms will feature private balconies, while some of the larger units will have their own private pool. Other facilities will include a restaurant, bar, a fitness centre, body and foot massage rooms, and a swimming pool.
