The amount of tourists from emerging countries visiting China in July has surged, according to statistics published by the National Tourism Association. 

The report, which also showed that visitors from developed countries was continuing its decline, said the number of tourists from India, Vietnam and Thailand grew 10.78%, 13.86% and 11.29% year-on-year respectively.

However numbers from the US, Canada, Australia, Japan and South Korea dropped.
