India’s Minister of Tourism, Dr K Chiranjeevi has donated US$0.16 million (INR1 crore) to the flood victims of
Uttarakhand.
The money will be donated from his Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) fund along with his one month salary. Chiranjeevi said in a PIB release that the government is continuously monitoring the rescue operations and welfare of the victims.
