Choice partners TripAdvisor for mobile bookings

Choice Hotels International has become the world’s first hotel company to partner with TripAdvisor on its new ‘TripAdvisor Instant Booking’ feature for mobile devices.
TripAdvisor is currently testing the new tool, which will allow travellers to complete their hotel reservations while remaining on the TripAdvisor mobile app or mobile website, rather than being redirected to the hotel group’s website.
By selecting the ‘Book on TripAdvisor’ button, customers can select a room, input their personal information and credit card number, and complete their booking within TripAdvisor.
After completing the reservation, guests will receive a confirmation number and email from Choice Hotels, and all follow-up inquiries and processes will be handled by Choice.
“Choice Hotels wants to ensure that we provide cutting edge, flexible and mobile options for guests as the way hotel reservations are made constantly evolves,” said Robert McDowell, Choice’s senior vice president of marketing & distribution. “We are extremely proud to be the first hotel company to partner with TripAdvisor on Instant Booking, making it easier for our customers to book hotel reservations.”
TripAdvisor Instant Booking is expected to launch later this year and will initially be available in the US.
