Chongqing Airlines goes international

Chongqing Airlines will launch its first ever international flights this week.
Commencing on 4 February, the airline will operate three weekly flights between Chongqing and Bangkok.
Flights will depart the western Chinese city’s Jiangbei International Airport every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 2250, arriving at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport at 0110 the next day. The return flight will then leave Bangkok every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 0210, and get back into Chongqing at 0635.
Chongqing Airlines will deploy its three-class Airbus A320 aircraft on the route, configured with eight seats in first class, 24 in premium economy and 120 in economy. It will compete with Thai Airways and Thai AirAsia on the route.
Part-owned by China Southern Airlines, Chongqing Airlines currently operates a fleet of 11 single-aisle aircraft on 30 domestic routes from Chongqing.
