Cruise & Maritime Voyages cruise ships Magellan & Marco Polo recently had their winter docking period in Amsterdam. Both ships were in the Netherlands port as part of their routine annual docking. Magellan has arrived back in Tilbury ready for Christmas with a brand new facility added – a traditional British style pub.

Lisa Jacobs, Head of Trade Sales at CMV, who is currently sailing on board said ‘I am delighted to be on board to welcoming guests to the new Taverner’s Pub. At the moment the ship is on a Christmas Markets cruise and the pub is already proving to be hugely popular.’

The Taverner’s Pub compliments the existing lounges and bars on board. Fosters, Spitfire and Double Stout will be on draft and the pub will also screen major sporting events.

Mike Hall said ‘It will be open throughout the day and evening and is the perfect venue for a drink and conversation with new found friends. A great place to round off a perfect evening, pop in for a nightcap before retiring to your cabin at the end of another wonderful day.’
