Como Hotels and Resorts’ second Bhutan property will open this month.
Launching on 15 September 2012, the 11-room Uma by Como Punakha will be the sister property to the existing Uma by Como resort in Paro. The two resorts will be offered together as part of a twin-centre package.
Designed by Bali-based architect Cheong Yew Kwan, Uma Punakha includes one- and two-bedroom villas with wood-burning stoves and traditional hand-painted Bhutanese wall designs.
The lodge will also feature a restaurant, bar and a Como Shambhala Retreat with a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath.
