Compagnie do Ponant launches Asia brochure

French expedition specialist Compagnie du Ponant has announced the launch of a 64-page brochure to highlight the line’s Asian cruises.
The itineraries, which are for the 2013/14 winter season, are all new to the line which known for combining luxury vessels with expedition-style itineraries.
The line’s newest ship, Le Soleal, which is due to launch in July, will sailing to Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Borneo, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, India and the Maldives.
Because of the ship’s intimate style, it is able to berth in far more central locations compared to some of the bigger ships, which are restricted to the city’s ports.
One of the highlights of the brochure is the Myanmar and Sri Lanka tour which covers the following:

Departing from Kuala Lumpur to Colombo, Thailand and Myanmar, Le Soléal calls at Penang, Phuket, Trincomalee and Hambantota. The itinerary includes four days in Yangon to explore the Shwedagon Pagoda, Bagan temples, Mandalay, the cultural capital, and the former royal city of Amarapura.
