Cox & Kings recently undertook a major beach cleaning exercise in Mumbai.
In an effort to create awareness and to preserve the beauty of one of India’s most popular beaches, the travel company enlisted the help of approximately 150 staff members to clean up a 3km-long stretch of Juhu Beach on Sunday, 11 September.
“The beach cleaning activity aims to help preserve the beauty of the Juhu Beach and at the same time keep the beach clean for the upcoming Visarjan on Anant Chaturdashi. We aim to educate the community at large about the need to keep our beaches clean,” said Karan Anand, head of relationships at Cox and Kings.
Cox & Kings employees carried out the clean-up drive in conjunction with its NGO partner, Juhu Citizens Welfare Group, employees of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) as well as the local residents.
