It’s time to sail again! Get aboard on PONANT’s new webinars for post-COVID cruising updates
French cruise line PONANT is all set to launch an exclusive series of six webinars starting from next Tuesday on 28 July. From exploring the company’s exotic and intimate expedition ships to incredible destinations such as Antarctica and the Arctic, the webinars are designed for travel agents to expand their expertise and discover the benefits of small-ship cruising and attract new clients.
The 30-minute long webinars will be hosted by Julie Rogers, national business development manager for South East Asia and India in PONANT.
Throwing light on the unique features of the much-awaited slew of webinars, Rogers said: “Agents who complete the six modules will receive a certification and assistance with business development, including local marketing support. The webinars aim to target countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and India.”
The online sessions will consist of the following episodes:
- Introduction to PONANT Yacht Cruises and Luxury Expeditions, including overview of Fleet
- Destination Focus: Antarctica
- Destination Focus: The Arctic including Iceland
- Destination Focus: Japan and surrounding tropical islands
- Destination Focus: Europe, The Mediterranean and Northern Europe
- PONANT and National Geographic Expeditions
Talking about the exotic voyages of the cruise line, she added: “PONANT delivers a truly unique experience. Guests set sail in a refined atmosphere in the spirit of a private yacht, to discover exceptional destinations only accessible by our small size luxury expedition ships. The fleet consists of new-build, expedition-purpose built, small ships with Ice Class, allowing our guests to explore the polar regions as well as tropical locations. We take guests to the most remote, pure and pristine locations on our planet, which is why the age of our vessels is important. Modern and technologically advanced ships, with the highest attention to sustainable travel.”
The most popular destination for the cruise line has been Antarctica. However, currently the company is witnessing an increase in demand for The Arctic and Mediterranean. PONANT National Geographic Expeditions has seen a surge in interest from travellers of South East Asia and India.
Julie Rogers predicts immense potential in the South East Asia market. As the market demand for small-ship and expedition cruising increases, agents will have an opportunity to seize this market segment and enhance their consulting skills.
