DHA unveils Dubai medical tourism offerings

In a bid to boost the medical tourism industry within Dubai, the Dubai Health Authority has announced a series of packages. These packages are designed for residents and visitors alike and will be launched during the 1st Health Regulations Conference.
The two-day conference will act as a platform to discuss best practices in health regulation and medical tourism in the region and around the globe.
Dr Layla Al Marzouqi, acting- director of DHA Health Regulation Department, said: “The packages for tourists will include hotel stay and flight tickets. While for residents, it will offer discounted rates for certain medical services.”
The package will cover seven areas of treatment such as dermatology, dental procedures, preventive health check-ups, plastic surgery, orthopedics and ophthalmology. In the first phase, packages will be rolled out for wellness and health-checkups.
