Dragonair has announced plans to upgrade the in-flight entertainment (IFE) on its fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft.
From November 2014, the Hong Kong-based carrier will introduce wireless IFE systems to all seats – business class and economy – aboard all 15 of its A320s, allowing passengers to stream content to their tablets and smartphones.
Once passengers have downloaded the StudioKA application to their electronic devices, they can connect to the in-cabin Wi-Fi network. They will then be able to access an array of IFE content, including 80 movies, 500+ TV programmes, music CDs and 16 radio playlists.
In business class, passengers will be provided with tablet devices, plus an additional selection of new-release movies and more than 20 extra TV programmes.
“This ongoing upgrade of our in-flight products demonstrates Dragonair’s commitment to offering a superior travel experience to all our passengers,” said Dragonair’s CEO, Algernon Yau.
“As the roll-out of this suite of products extends further across our fleet, journeys will become even more relaxing and enjoyable. These significant product investments underscore our determination to remain a world-class regional carrier.”
Since early 2013 Dragonair has been rolling out a series of cabin upgrades across its fleet of Airbus A330 and A321 aircraft, including new first, business and economy class seats.
