Dreamliner debuts in Delhi
The first Boeing 787 Dreamliner painted in Air India’s colours touched down at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport yesterday.
The Dreamliner will be on static display in Delhi before debuting at the India Aviation 2012 event in Hyderabad tomorrow (Wednesday 14 March). The aircraft is also fitted with full business and economy class cabins.
“We’re proud to bring the world’s most advanced commercial airplane to India, especially when it proudly displays the colours of national flag carrier Air India,” said Dinesh Keskar, Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ Senior Vice President of Asia Pacific & India Sales. “This week even more of our airline customers will experience the game-changing technologies and innovations the 787 has to offer.”
Air India has ordered 27 B787-8 Dreamliners, which it intends to use on routes including a new service to Melbourne.
