Qatar Airways has taken a Boeing 787 Dreamliner out of service, following a ‘minor’ technical issue and possible electrical problems, as reported by Reuters.
As per new information multiple sources have reported smoke near an electrical compartment while the advanced jet was grounded. While the airline and Boeing are declining to share further details, Reuters’ sources claim that they are treating such reports very seriously.
This follows a series of other mishaps in the recent weeks, including a fire on another 787, owned by Ethiopian Airlines. The jet was parked at a remote stand at London’s Heathrow airport when the fire occurred on July 12.
