Dubai gets its second Melia property

Melia Hotels International recently inked an agreement to open the second Melia hotel in Dubai. Mahdi Amjad, executive chairman and CEO of Omniyat, and Gabriel Escarrer, CEO and vice chairman of Meliá Hotels International inked the agreement for the next ME Dubai to open in early 2016.
Amjad said: “Last October, we announced to the market the first hotel entirely designed by Zaha Hadid, and since then, as expected, the interest of potential investors has not stopped growing.”
Elaborating further Escarrer said: “Dubai is in full recovery these days. The ME Dubai hotel will provide a completely new hotel and leisure offering for the emerging and very specific social psychographic: the open minded and stylish crowd.”
