Dusit International has continued its expansion in China with the signing of a new hot spring resort in Hunan province.

The company’s Chinese joint venture, Dusit Fudu Hotels & Resorts, has entered into a management contract for the Dusit Devarana Hot Springs & Spa Resort Zhuzhou, which is located 20 minutes’ drive from the centre of Hunan’s second largest city.

Scheduled to open in the last quarter of 2019, the resort will feature 150 rooms and pool villas, plus international and Chinese restaurants, a lobby lounge, natural hot spring pools, swimming pools, a badminton court, tennis court and gymnasium, plus a Devarana Spa. The resort will also feature a conference centre.

“With its scenic location, outstanding facilities, gracious and personalised service synonymous with traditional Thai hospitality, we are confident that Dusit Devarana Hot Springs & Spa, Zhuzhou will become the premier resort in the city,” Lim Boon Kwee, president of Dusit Fudu.

The new resort joins a portfolio of three Dusit hotels in mainland China, including one Dusit Devarana property in Guangzhou. But the company has major expansion plans in China, with more than 20 new hotels in the company’s nationwide pipeline.
