Thailand’s Dusit International has entered into an agreement to manage a new luxury resort in Haikou, the capital of China’s island province of Hainan.

The company’s Chinese joint venture, Dusit Fudu Hotels & Resorts, has signed a deal for the new Dusit Devarana Resort Haikou West, which is scheduled to open in 2018.

The new property will form part of a new “mega tourism zone” currently being developed on Hainan’s north coast. Upon completion, the Dusit Devarana will offer 108 rooms and villas, a Devarana Spa, international and Chinese restaurants, a gymnasium, outdoor swimming pool, kid’s club, boutique and a large amount of meeting space.

“We are pleased to announce this new luxury resort in Haikou, an exciting city in which to begin what will be a strong year for Dusit Fudu,” said Lim Boon Kwee, president of Dusit Fudu. “Alongside our partners, I am confident that the Dusit Devarana Resort Haikou West will deliver an inspiring and rejuvenating getaway for our guests.”

The new resort and tourism complex will be located 15 minutes’ drive from Haikou city centre and 30 minutes from the city’s Meilan International Airport.
