Absolute Hotel Services Group (AHS) has unveiled plans to launch its first Eastin Grand hotel in Vietnam, with the rebranding of a property in Ho Chi Minh City.
Vietnam’s A-1 International Corporation has appointed AHS to manage its hotel on the city’s Nguyen Van Troi Street, which will be rebranded as Eastin Grand Hotel Saigon on 1 April 2015.
The new Eastin Grand will become the third operational hotel in AHS’ Vietnamese portfolio, and the second Eastin Grand in Asia, following the Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn Bangkok.
“Vietnam is rapidly becoming a must visit destination with its unique and intoxicating combination of a fascinating culture, delightful people and incomparable scenery,” said AHS CEO Jonathan Wigley.
“I am particularly proud and excited to acquire this well-established hotel in our rapidly expanding portfolio as well as being able to introduce the Eastin Grand Hotels brand to one of Asia’s most vibrant cities.”
Eastin Grand Hotel Saigon will offer 268 rooms, plus a range of dining options, large conference and meeting facilities, an executive lounge, swimming pool and gym.
As well as the new Ho Chi Minh City property, AHS plans to launch new Eastins in Hanoi in 2016 and Cam Ranh in 2017.
