EasyJet reschedules flights ahead of Greek strikes

Low cost British carrier easyJet has been forced to rearrange a number of its Greek departures because of a planned strike by the country’s air traffic controllers.
The airline has urged those who are due to fly to check the status of their flight via its online flight tracker tool.
Air traffic controllers will leave their posts at midday today (16 July) as part of protests against austerity measures being imposed by the government.
One flight, the EZY2187 from Luton to Mykanos, was scheduled to leave at 04:20 but had its departure time moved to midday.
The carrier issued the following statement to its customers:
“We sincerely apologise for the further change to your flight, it has been delayed due to a member of our flight crew becoming unwell and by the time our replacement can be ready your flight would be arriving at the time of the Greek strike. This means we have to delay your flight so that it arrives in Mykonos after the strike ends. We appreciate your patience, our airport staff will provide you with some refreshment vouchers for your wait.
Both British Airways and Ryanair have said they will run a normal service.
