With surging demand, Emirates has introduced a larger aircraft on its Dublin route two months early. The airline deployed a 360-seater Boeing 777-300ER to Dublin, this replaced the Airbus A330-200.
“The growing performance of this sector helped us make the decision. Ireland now has one of the largest aircraft in our fleet and we can offer 52% more seats,” said Salem Obaidalla, Emirates’ senior vice president, commercial operations, Europe & Russian Federation.
The aircraft brings a suite of products to passengers in all classes, including the ICE entertainment system offering more than 600 channels of movies, television programmes, games, audio books and music from across the world. Passengers on First Class will be offered a baggage allowance of 50kg. In Business Class, traveller would be offered 40 kg and economy 30 kg. The airline’s complimentary chauffeur-drive service is also available to First and Business Class passengers.
In addition to Dublin, the airline has launched new routes to Rio, Buenos Aires, Lusaka, Harare, Dallas and Seattle so far in 2012. The next is Ho Chi Minh City from June 4th, followed by Barcelona on July 3rd, Lisbon is effective July 9th and services to Washington start as of September 12th.
