Both Emirates and Etihad have announced news for their flights and operations in Milan, as the city gears up to hold the Expo next year.
Emirates has revealed it will put an Airbus A380 on one of its services between Dubai and Milan, which will be Milan Malepensa Airport’s first scheduled A380 service. This will boost the airline’s capacity by almost 38%.
Meanwhile Etihad and partner carrier Alitalia will support the event’s School Project as part of its partnership with Expo. The project will provide a space for school children to go through training and contests based on the theme of food and sustainability.
Around 20 million visitors are expected to attend Milan Expo 2015 between May and October next year.
