Emirates has announced that Boston will become its eighth destination in the US, when flights commence on 10 March 2014.
The new service to Boston’s Logan International Airport will operate daily, direct from Dubai, using a Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.
Flights will depart Dubai International Airport at 0945 and arrive in Boston at 1515. The return flight will take off from the Massachusetts city at 2255, getting back into Dubai at 1910 the next day. US carrier JetBlue Airways will codeshare on the route.
“Based on passenger demand, we believe the time is right to further boost our US operations, while stimulating channels of trade and tourism to and from the state of Massachusetts and the wider New England region,” said HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Emirates’ chairman & chief executive.
Boston will join New York, Washington DC, Houston, Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Dallas in Emirates’ US network.
