Emirates flight attendants were part of the World Cup final celebrations in Brazil on Sunday night and carried the medals for the finalists to the podium.

Germany beat Argentina in extra time to secure a 1-0 victory in a tense, but gripping conclusion to the world football event.

The flight attendants were part of the medal ceremony that included the FIFA president Sepp Blatter, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff.

In a packed stadium with more than one billion watching around the world, the Emirates’ employees wore the carrier’s uniform as they helped with proceedings.

Emirates’ partnership with FIFA dates back to 2006 when it became the first airline sponsor of the FIFA World Cup.
