Emirates to launch flights to Cambodia

Emirates will touch down in Cambodia for the first time this summer, with the launch of services to the capital, Phnom Penh.
Commencing on 1 July 2017, the new route will be operated daily, providing travellers from Europe and the Middle East with a new way of travelling to Cambodia. Phnom Penh will be combined with Yangon as part of a new Southeast Asian route.
The outbound flight, EK388, will depart Dubai at 0915 and arrive in Yangon at 1725. It will then depart Myanmar’s largest city at 1855 before arriving at Phnom Penh at 2125. This departure time will enable passengers to connect from Emirates incoming flights from Paris, London, and Frankfurt. The return flight, EK389, will depart Phnom Penh at 2310 and arrive back in Dubai at 0540 the next day, including a stop in Yangon.
The new service will also make Emirates the only airline providing direct, year-round services between Yangon and Phnom Penh.
Emirates will operate the route using its two-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, offering 35kg of baggage allowance in economy class.
The launch of the Phnom Penh service will coincide with the introduction of a direct flight between Dubai and Hanoi, which also commence on 1 July. Previously Emirates’ flights to Hanoi included a stop in Yangon.
Emirates won’t be the first Gulf carrier flying to Phnom Penh however; Qatar Airways currently flies to the Cambodian capital as part of its Doha-Ho Chi Minh City route.
