Emirates raises Manchester luxury

Emirates has announced that it is to raise its current evening programme from Manchester Airport – taking the current two class Boeing 777-300ER to a three class.
The change, which was put in place on 1 September, will see Emirates increase its capacity to and from Manchester to 2,474 across three daily services. The morning service was upgraded in August, which means that all Emirates’ Manchester services now offer first class.
“Passengers seeking the ultimate Emirates experience will now be able to travel First Class out of Manchester on our evening service, enjoying the finest wines, gourmet food and our multi-award winning ice entertainment system,” said Emirates’ UK vice president Laurie Berryman. “Ever since Manchester became part of our network in 1990, we have seen a steady growth in bookings culminating in three flights daily. Over five million people have been transported from Manchester since the first launch, which became the third European route after London and Frankfurt.”

First class passengers with Emirates will be given access to the Emirates Lounge at Manchester Airport, a complimentary chauffeur service as well as a seat which converts into a fully flat bed.

For passengers, this creates an onboard product portfolio consistent with the ever-popular A380 and we look forward to working with Emirates to further develop its Manchester operation,” added Ken O’Toole, chief commercial officer of Manchester Airports Group.
Emirates first flew from Manchester in 1990 and became a scheduled daily in 1999, with a second flight introduced in 2003.
