Emirates in collaboration with Emirates Airline Festival of Literature recently launched its first competition focused on photography and creative writing.

Aptly titled ‘Capture 380’ is a competition offering participants in UAE an opportunity to bring together words and images in creative and inventive ways. The competition will run until 10 January 2016.

Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, Emirates’ divisional senior vice president commercial operations, centre said: “This competition builds on our efforts to find meaningful ways to connect and engage with the local community. We are confident that the competition will attract a good response and forward to highlighting the best photos and captions at the 2016 edition.”

Participants are required to submit an original photo accompanied by up to 380 words in a caption format. Entrants will be judged on quality of their writing, and on originality of their approach.
