Come 1 December 2014, Emirates will boost the Doha capacity with seven daily flights. The route is currently being served with six daily flights and will overtake the Bangkok route. The extra flights into Doha are part of a 28 flight boost to the airline’s Middle East services.

Muscat will go from two to three flights a day, Bahrain from three to four daily services and Kuwait will increase from five to six flights daily. With the changes in place as of 1 December, Emirates will offer 276 weekly flights.

“This is a significant enhancement of our services in the region, giving customers more choice,” said Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, Emirates’ divisional senior vice president, commercial operations, Centre. “With seven flights a day going into Doha, this overtakes Bangkok and is ahead of Singapore and London Heathrow.”

Apart from Doha, Muscat, Bahrain and Kuwait, the airline’s 276 weekly departures to destinations in the airline’s Gulf, Middle East and Iran region (GMEI) also cover the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon and Yemen.
