Emirates will soon in seven weeks commence non-stop services to Taipei. The new services will start from 10 February 2014. To celebrate this route the airline recently launched the service and the on board products at a reception in Taipei.
“The partnership between Emirates and Taipei goes back to 2003 when our cargo arm launched freighter service between the two cities. Given Taipei’s status as an international trading hub and demand that we have been getting, it is a natural progression for the airline to launch passenger services here,” said Edwin Lau, Emirates’ vice president, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Lau further added: “We are confident that this new route will open up new trade opportunities across the Emirates network as well as support business and tourism travel to Taipei.”
Emirates will fly a Boeing 777-300ER on the Taipei route, equipped with eight suites in First Class, 42 in Business Class, and 304 passengers in Economy Class.
The airline now operates services to 138 destinations in 78 countries from Dubai. In 2014, the services launched will be Kiev, followed by Taipei and Boston on 10 March 2014.
