Emirates to resume Baghdad flights

Emirates has recently announced its intent to recommence passenger flights to Baghdad from 17 September 2015. The airline suspended operations in January of this year.
The airline will operate with four weekly flights to Baghdad, served by an A330-200 aircraft in a three class configuration.
Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, divisional senior vice president commercial operations, Centre for Emirates said: “After conducting an exhaustive safety and security review, we have decided to restart services between Dubai and Baghdad. We want to continue to support development of economic opportunities in Baghdad by increasing access to international markets and inward investment.”
Emirates services to Baghdad from 17 September to 23 October will depart as EK 941/942 on Monday and Thursday from Dubai and EK 943/944 will operate on Friday and Sunday. EK 941 will depart Dubai at 0715hrs arriving at Baghdad International Airport at 0850hrs. The return flight, EK 942 will depart Baghdad International Airport at 1040hrs arriving in Dubai at 1400hrs. EK 943 will depart Dubai at 1235hrs arriving at Baghdad International Airport at 1420hrs. The return flight, EK 944 will depart Baghdad International Airport at 1555hrs arriving in Dubai at 1915hrs.
Timings will change from 25 October however Emirates services to Baghdad will continue to depart as EK 941/942 on Monday and Thursday from Dubai and EK 943/944 will operate on Friday and Sunday. EK 941 will depart Dubai at 0755hrs arriving at Baghdad International Airport at 0940hrs. The return flight, EK 942 will depart Baghdad International Airport at 1135hrs arriving in Dubai at 1450hrs. EK 943 will depart Dubai at 1230hrs arriving at Baghdad International Airport at 1415hrs. The return flight, EK 944 will depart Baghdad International Airport at 1545hrs arriving in Dubai at 1910hrs.
