Middle East carrier Emirates is to replace existing Airbus A330-200s with Boeing 777-300ER on its Dubai to Bangkok route from 1 September.
The airline is also adding a second daily A380 service, which will leave Dubai at 9:40am with the return journey leaving at 8:40pm the same day.
“The latest A380 service addition and the upgrade for Bangkok-Dubai flight using the Boeing 777-300ER further reinforces the significance of Bangkok to Emirates’ operations in the region. Given outstandingly high demand for this route, adding the second daily A380 service will not only allow our passengers heightened flexibility but also support the country’s growing tourism industry,” said Jabr Al-Azeeby, Emirates’ area manager for Thailand and Indochina.
The company recently announced it was launching a non-stop service to Taipei, as reported in Travel Daily Middle East. The flights will commence in February 2014.
